Orange Ball Float, 200mm, for Large Tank Float Valves

Description

Overview

This 200mm float ball is a round orange plastic float that fits the arm of a float valve and rides the water surface to open and close the valve. The 200mm size is the large one, meant for the 40mm brass float valve used on industrial installations and tanks up to 20,000 L. A bigger ball gives more lift, which helps the valve close firmly against the pressure of a large supply line. It is also a straightforward replacement when an old ball has cracked, filled with water or sunk. See the pipe fittings range for valves and connectors.

Key features

• Round, orange plastic ball float
• 200mm diameter
• BSP threaded for float valve arms
• For use with the 40mm brass float valve
• Suited to industrial installations on tanks up to 20,000 L
• Bright colour makes it easy to see through a tank hatch

Where it works

Large float balls are used on farm storage tanks and reservoirs in Limpopo and the Free State, on municipal and school water tanks in Gauteng, and on mine site water tanks and depots. They also replace failed balls on older float valves. For smaller tanks use the standard orange ball float, and for a complete assembly see the float valve kit. Check the thread on your valve arm before you order, and ask us if you are unsure.
