How Kamano Holdings processes personal information under POPIA.

This policy explains how we process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect
- Contact details: name, company, email, phone number.
- Order details: billing and delivery address, GPS pins for sites, products ordered, invoices.
- Quote requests: the products, quantities, notes and any bill of quantities you upload.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, through cookies and server logs.
We do not store full card numbers. Card payments are processed by our payment providers.
3. Why we use it
- To quote, process, deliver and invoice your orders (performance of a contract).
- To keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
- To answer your questions and provide after-sales support.
- To send marketing only if you have opted in; you can opt out at any time.
- To secure and improve our website.
4. Who we share it with
Only with service providers who help us run the business, under confidentiality obligations: payment gateways, our website host, email providers, and our own delivery staff. We do not sell personal information. We disclose information where the law requires it.
5. Cross-border transfers
Some service providers (for example email or hosting) may store information outside South Africa. We only use providers in countries or under agreements that offer protection comparable to POPIA.
6. How long we keep it
We keep order and invoice records for at least 5 years as required by tax law, and quote requests for up to 2 years. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and restricted storage for uploaded files.
8. Cookies
