This is one of our longest routes, and Western Cape orders usually take up to 3 business days from dispatch. Prices include 15% VAT, you pay by EFT, and delivery is free on orders of R20,000 or more. Order online or request a quote and we deliver to your door, farm or site, wherever it is between the Atlantic coast and the Little Karoo.

What Western Cape buyers order most

The Western Cape has a winter-rainfall, Mediterranean climate with dry summers, and the drought that brought Cape Town close to running out of water is still fresh in memory. Many households, wine estates and businesses now plan for their own supply. Water tanks (from R1,105), rainwater harvesting supplies and water and booster pumps are the leading orders, and water filters are commonly added.

Agriculture is the backbone outside the city. The Winelands, the Swartland wheat belt, the Overberg and the fruit valleys such as Ceres and Elgin depend on dams, rivers and boreholes. Growers buy multistage and end-suction pumps, irrigation fittings, pump controllers and VSDs and borehole pumps and motors. Harvest machinery and farm vehicles run on diesel stored in diesel storage tanks.

Businesses in the Cape Town area, the harbours at Saldanha and the West Coast fishing and logistics sector order pressure washers and fuel equipment, and salt air makes corrosion resistance a common worry.

A selection tip for a Cape home: because rain falls in winter, size the tank to carry your household through the dry summer. A larger tank filled over winter beats a smaller one that overflows in July and runs empty by February. Add a first-flush diverter and a booster pump for pressure. Tell us your roof area and household size and we will suggest a size.

Delivery times and fees in the Western Cape

Item Detail
Delivery time Usually up to 3 business days from dispatch
Fee by weight Up to 30 kg R550; 30 to 60 kg R950; 60 to 100 kg R1,450
Free delivery Orders of R20,000 or more
Large items Over 100 kg on quotation

Fees follow order weight, not the town, so the rate to Cape Town is the same as to Worcester. Because the route is long, a larger order that reaches R20,000 and qualifies for free delivery often works out better than several small ones.

Delivery questions

How long does delivery to the Western Cape take?

Western Cape orders usually take up to 3 business days from dispatch on our own trucks from Polokwane. It is one of our longest routes, so we confirm the estimate when you place the order and recommend including spares in the same load.

What tank size suits a Western Cape home?

Because rain falls mostly in winter, choose a tank large enough to carry the household through the dry summer. Combine it with a booster pump and a first-flush diverter. Tell us your roof area and household size and we will suggest a suitable size.

What does delivery cost in the Western Cape?

The fee is set by order weight: R550 up to 30 kg, R950 for 30 to 60 kg and R1,450 for 60 to 100 kg. Orders over 100 kg are quoted. Delivery is free on orders of R20,000 or more, and rates are the same across the province.

Does Kamano install equipment in the Western Cape?

No. Kamano delivers the equipment but does not install it and has no installers in the Western Cape. A local plumber or electrician should fit tanks, pumps and controllers. We can check the specification with you before you order.
