Does Kamano deliver pumps, tanks and diesel equipment in the Northern Cape?
Yes. We deliver across the Northern Cape on our own trucks, not couriers, from a single yard at 147 Blaauwberg St, Polokwane Ext 17. Distances in this province are long, and orders usually take up to 3 business days from dispatch. Prices include 15% VAT, you pay by EFT, and delivery is free on orders of R20,000 or more. Order online or request a quote and we deliver to your door, farm, mine or site. Because trips are long, we suggest confirming the full list of fittings and spares before you pay, so the order arrives complete.
What Northern Cape buyers order most
The Northern Cape is the largest province and the driest. Much of it is Karoo and Kalahari, with sheep, goat and game farming on vast properties where surface water is scarce and boreholes and windmills are the norm. Borehole pumps and motors (from R140) and solar pumps and inverters (from R264) are therefore the everyday purchase, with water tanks and bins and troughs for stock.
Along the Orange River around Upington and Kakamas, irrigation farms grow table grapes, raisins and dates. They need multistage and end-suction pumps, pump controllers and VSDs and irrigation fittings.
Mining is the other pillar. Iron ore and manganese around Kathu, Sishen and the Kalahari manganese field, diamonds near Kimberley and copper in Namaqualand mean fuel and water handling at scale. Contractors order diesel bowsers, diesel storage tanks and drainage, sewage and submersible pumps. Water bowsers help dust control on gravel roads and sites.
A selection tip for the desert: heat and sun are your assets and your enemy. Solar pumps use the abundant sunshine to run without a generator, but plastic tanks and exposed pipe should be kept shaded or buried where possible. Size a tank for several days of stock water so a pump fault does not become an emergency, and keep a spare controller or rotor and stator set on the farm. Send us the borehole depth and daily demand and we will help match the equipment.

Delivery questions
How long does delivery to the Northern Cape take?
Northern Cape orders usually take up to 3 business days from dispatch on our own trucks from Polokwane. The most remote farms and mines may use the full three days. We confirm the estimate when you place the order.
Should a Northern Cape farm choose a solar or electric borehole pump?
Where power lines are far away, solar is usually the practical choice, because strong sunshine drives the pump with no generator or fuel. Pair it with a storage tank for the night. Where grid power exists, an electric pump may suit larger flows.
What does delivery cost in the Northern Cape?
The fee is set by order weight: R550 up to 30 kg, R950 for 30 to 60 kg and R1,450 for 60 to 100 kg. Orders over 100 kg are quoted. Delivery is free on orders of R20,000 or more, and rates are the same across the province.
Does Kamano install equipment in the Northern Cape?
No. Kamano delivers the equipment but does not install it and has no installers in the Northern Cape. A local plumber or electrician should fit pumps, tanks and controllers. We can check the specification with you before you order.
