Overview

This 1400 L slimline wall tank is a flat-sided rainwater tank, 1900 mm long, 1900 mm high and only 651 mm deep, designed to sit flush along a wall, fence or narrow passage. It is a one-piece rotationally moulded unit in UV-resistant, food-grade polyethylene, built to take the weather without rusting or corroding. A leaf catcher is supplied. Grey, R 10,959: a neutral finish against plaster and concrete.

Where it works

It is a good fit for suburban homes, townhouses and offices in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape that harvest roof water but have no room for a round tank. Can I connect this tank to my gutters?

Yes. It has a 40 mm top inlet and the leaf catcher is supplied, so it connects easily to existing gutter systems. A plumber should fit the downpipe, overflow and outlet so water drains away from the wall.

How much does the tank weigh?

The empty tank weighs 110 kg, so plan two or three people or a trolley to position it, and never move it full. Secure it to the wall once it is filled.
