This used food-grade IBC holds 1000 L in an HDPE bottle inside a steel cage on a pallet, sold under model code FG150-80. It is the version to choose when the tank will hold water for people or ingredients, rather than chemicals.

Because it is a used unit, we recommend you ask for current photos and check the condition before ordering, then clean and sanitise it before first use. We do not state a certificate for the tank, so confirm what your own application needs. It still costs far less than a new food-grade IBC.

Is a used food-grade IBC safe for drinking water?

It is sold as food grade, but it is used, so clean and sanitise it before filling and ask us for photos and condition details first. We do not quote a food-safety certificate for this unit. If you need a documented food-contact rating, tell us before you order and we will advise.

Do you deliver a food-grade IBC to Upington?

Yes, we deliver with our own trucks to all nine provinces, including Upington, normally in 1 to 3 days. Fees follow total order weight: up to 30 kg R550, 30 to 60 kg R950, 60 to 100 kg R1,450, over 100 kg on quotation. This ships at 60 kg, in the 30 to 60 kg (R950) band. Any extra item moves the order up a band.

How do I clean a used IBC before use?

Drain it, flush with clean water, scrub the inside through the top lid, then rinse until the water runs clear. For drinking water use a suitable sanitiser at the strength it states, then rinse again. Replace or clean the outlet valve too, since residue hides there. Let it dry before storing ingredients.

Can I connect a tap or pump to it?

Yes. IBC outlets take standard camlock, buttress or threaded adaptors, depending on the valve fitted. Tell us the valve size you see on the tank or in the photos and we will advise on adaptors. A gravity tap works for house use, and a small 12 V or 220 V pump handles transfer.
