The 10,000 L JoJo vertical chemical storage tank is a bulk store for industrial liquids, 2200 mm across and 3150 mm high, with a 450 mm screw-on lid. It is moulded from UV-stabilised polyethylene with a wall thicker than the water version and stands free on a flat, level base. Can this tank hold strong or dense chemicals?

We assume a medium-duty rating to SG 1.4. Many bulk liquids fall within that, but dense or aggressive chemicals may need a heavy-duty tank rated to SG 1.6. Send us the chemical, concentration and density and we will confirm the right grade before you order, which avoids an expensive mistake at this size.

What base does a 10,000 L tank need?

A flat, level, well-compacted base at least as wide as the 2200 mm diameter, normally a concrete slab, because the full tank holds many tonnes of liquid. Build a bund around it for hazardous contents. A civil engineer or the site manager should confirm the base before the tank is filled.
