Description

Overview

The 20,000 L JoJo vertical chemical storage tank is the largest in this range, 2600 mm across and 4270 mm high, moulded from UV-stabilised polyethylene with a thicker wall than the water version. The taller, slimline shell holds more volume on the same 2600 mm footprint as the 15,000 L chemical tank. It suits sites that take bulk tanker deliveries and want a long gap between refills.

Key features

20,000 L capacity
2600 mm diameter by 4270 mm high
Slimline shell, same footprint as the 15,000 L tank
UV-stabilised polyethylene for outdoor use
Thicker wall than a water tank, medium duty SG 1.4 assumed
Supplied bare, no pump or fittings

Where it works

Mpumalanga coal mines and Northern Cape operations store process chemicals at this size, and industrial plants in Gauteng and KZN hold treatment chemicals for months. Large Free State and Limpopo farms and co-ops store a full season of liquid fertiliser. The tank is single-wall, so build a bund sized for the contents on a strong concrete base. Confirm the chemical and density with us first, and compare the 10,000 L tank in the chemical tank range.

Questions about this product

How is a 20,000 L tank delivered?

Tanks over 100 kg are delivered on quotation, so send us your site location and access details, including gate width and overhead clearance. At R71,820 the tank is above our R20,000 free-delivery threshold, and we confirm terms on the quote. Our trucks deliver from Polokwane in 1 to 3 days.

What is the difference between the 15,000 L and 20,000 L tanks?

Both are 2600 mm in diameter. The 20,000 L tank is taller, 4270 mm against 3260 mm, so you get extra volume without extra floor space. Check your overhead clearance and the strength of the base, because the full tank holds roughly 20 tonnes of liquid.

Does it need a bund?

Yes for hazardous chemicals. The tank is single-wall, so a bund sized to hold the full contents is the safe approach, on a concrete base wider than the 2600 mm diameter. Check your site rules and speak to your safety officer before filling.
