Can I order an irrigation or borehole pump online and have it delivered to Mbombela?

Yes. Kamano sells irrigation pumps, borehole pumps, water tanks and diesel equipment online, with prices in rand that include 15% VAT, and delivers to Mbombela on its own trucks from the Polokwane yard. Orders usually arrive within 1 to 2 business days of dispatch. We do not use couriers, so a heavy pump set or a large tank is carried by the same crew from loading to your farm gate or lodge. Pay by EFT and the order is dispatched once payment reflects. Delivery costs R550 for parcels up to 30 kg and is free on orders of R20,000 or more, while anything over 100 kg is quoted. Kamano has one yard, in Polokwane, so there is no Lowveld branch to collect from, but we deliver to town addresses, farms, lodges and building sites across the region. Call or WhatsApp +27 73 679 0837 if you want a pump or tank checked before you order.

What Mbombela buyers order most from us, and why

Mbombela and the surrounding Lowveld are warm, frost-free and heavily farmed, with citrus, subtropical fruit, macadamias, bananas and sugar cane in the valleys. Tourism around the Kruger Park adds lodges and guest farms. That mix drives a particular shopping list.

From Polokwane the trucks head east into the Lowveld, usually through the Lydenburg or Hoedspruit corridor, then down to Mbombela. From there we also reach White River, Hazyview, Kanyamazane, Barberton, Malelane and Kaapmuiden, as well as the farming areas along the Crocodile River. The Lowveld is within our Mpumalanga zone, so the usual time is 1 to 2 business days.

If you are equipping a whole orchard block or a lodge, put the pump, controller, pipe and tank on one order. It simplifies the paperwork, and a combined order of R20,000 or more qualifies for free delivery.

Which pump suits orchard irrigation in the Lowveld?

Start with the water source and the area you need to irrigate. Pumping from a river or dam usually calls for a surface pump such as a multistage or end-suction unit, sized for the flow you need and the height and pipe length it has to push against. Pumping from a borehole needs a submersible unit sized to the yield, and it is worth asking your driller for that figure before you buy.

Then think about pressure. Drip and micro-sprinkler blocks run at modest pressure, but a long pipe run or a rise up a slope eats it quickly. A pump controller or variable speed drive holds pressure steady as valves open and close, and it protects the motor. In a hot climate, keep surface pumps shaded and well ventilated, and use a tank to buffer supply so the pump is not cycling constantly. Fitting is work for a local plumber and electrician.

Delivery questions

How long does delivery to Mbombela take?

Orders usually reach Mbombela within 1 to 2 business days of dispatch. Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane, not couriers, and the same service covers White River, Hazyview, Barberton and the wider Lowveld.

What pump do I need for citrus or avocado irrigation near Mbombela?

It depends on your water source, the area, and the pressure your system needs. Multistage and end-suction pumps suit river and dam supply, while borehole pumps suit groundwater. Call us with your flow and head figures and we will help you match one.

What does delivery to Mbombela cost?

Delivery costs R550 up to 30 kg, R950 for 30 to 60 kg and R1,450 for 60 to 100 kg. Items over 100 kg are quoted. Orders of R20,000 or more are delivered free, and all prices include 15% VAT.

Does Kamano install pumps in the Lowveld?

No. Kamano delivers equipment to your farm, lodge or site but does not install it and has no team in Mbombela. Ask a local plumber to fit pumps and pipework, and a local electrician to handle wiring and controllers.
