Overview

The Vega 4-inch borehole pump combo kit is a complete submersible set rated at about 2,000 litres an hour, sold in three depth bands. Everything needed to get water moving comes in one box: pump, motor, control box, electrical cable, waterproof cable joint, rope and baseplate. A 4-inch pump body suits the common 4-inch and larger borehole casings, so measure your casing before you order.

This 4 inch borehole pump combo kit supplies farmhouses, lodges, school and clinic boreholes, stock water points and small vegetable plots, from Limpopo and Mpumalanga to the Free State. Add your pumping water level, the lift to your tank and about 10% for pipe friction, then pick the band that covers it. The 73 to 81 m kit ships at about 27 kg, inside our R550 delivery band (up to 30 kg), and the lighter bands weigh less. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free. How do I choose between the three depth bands?

Work out your total depth: pumping water level, plus the lift to your tank, plus about 10% for pipe friction. Pick the band that covers that figure, and if you land on a boundary take the deeper band. Call us with your borehole depth and yield if you want a second opinion before ordering.

Does the kit include the cable and rope?

Yes. Each band includes the pump, motor, control box, electrical cable, waterproof cable joint, rope and baseplate. Delivery pipe, fittings and a qualified electrician to connect the control box to your supply are not part of the kit, so budget for those separately.

Do you deliver borehole pump kits to Kimberley?

Yes. Kamano delivers from Polokwane to Kimberley and the rest of the country in 1 to 3 days. The heaviest kit ships at about 27 kg, which falls in the R550 delivery band, and orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free.
