Overview

This Vega 3-inch borehole pump combo kit is a ready-to-wire submersible set for small boreholes, rated at about 2,000 litres an hour. It bundles the pump, motor and control box with the cable, waterproof cable joint, rope and baseplate you need to lower it into the hole, so you are not hunting for loose parts. The pump body is 3 inches across, so check your casing size before ordering. Pick the depth option that covers how far down your pump must sit.

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including Polokwane, Tzaneen, Mahikeng, Klerksdorp, Pretoria and Johannesburg. The 100 m kit ships at about 31 kg, so it falls in our R950 delivery band (30 to 60 kg), and shorter kits weigh less. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free. Which depth option should I choose for my borehole?

Choose the option that covers the depth you need to lower the pump to, then add your pumping water level, the lift to your tank and about 10% for friction. If your total sits between two options, go to the deeper one. Not sure? Call us with your borehole depth and we will point you to the right kit.

Is the cable and rope included in the kit?

Yes. Every depth option includes the pump, motor, control box, electrical cable, waterproof cable joint, rope and baseplate. You still need delivery pipe and fittings to carry the water to your tank, and a qualified electrician should connect the control box to your supply.

Do you deliver a borehole pump kit to Mahikeng?

Yes. Kamano delivers from Polokwane to Mahikeng and every other province in 1 to 3 days. Even the 100 m kit ships at about 31 kg, in the R950 delivery band, and lighter kits can fall in the R550 band. Orders of R20,000 or more (VAT incl.) are delivered free.

Will 2,000 L/h be enough for my farm?

It is enough for a household, a few stock troughs or a garden, not for field irrigation. For example, 2,000 L/h gives about 48,000 litres in 24 hours of running. If you need more water, look at the 4-inch kit or the larger 6-inch pumps in our borehole range.
