Overview

The 4SD10/8 is a 4 inch stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump with a 1.5 kW motor, built for farm homesteads, drip irrigation blocks and tank filling from medium-depth boreholes. It lifts to 54 m with the outlet closed and passes up to 14.4 m³/h at the end of its curve. In between it delivers 120 L/min at 44 m.

Buy a complete set for your power supply, or just the pump end to replace a worn wet end on an existing 1.5 kW motor.

Which 4SD10/8 option suits my power supply?

Single-phase 220 V supply: take the analogue box set, or the 20Y set if the yield is low, since the 20Y adds dry-run protection. Three-phase 380 V: choose the Y1 set. If only the wet end is worn, buy the pump end for R 1,024 and keep your 1.5 kW motor.

What flow will the 4SD10/8 give at my borehole depth?

It gives 60 L/min at 49 m, 120 L/min at 44 m and 180 L/min at 33 m, with 54 m at zero flow. Add your water level depth, the climb to your tank and about 10% for pipe friction, then pick a point on the curve above that total. What else do I need to install a 1.5 kW borehole pump?

You still need submersible cable, rope, delivery pipe and a base plate, as none are included. The pump fits boreholes of 100 mm internal diameter or more. Get the cable size from your supplier based on the motor current and the depth, and have the installation done by a competent borehole installer.
