The 4SD10/15 is a 4″ stainless steel multistage submersible borehole pump for a 3 kW motor, giving 101 m of head at zero flow and up to 14.4 m³/h at the open end of its curve. It comes from the Vega 4SD10 range, with a nominal flow around 10 m³/h, and fits boreholes with an internal diameter of 100 mm or more. Buy this 4sd10/15 borehole pump as a complete set for your power supply, or as the pump end only to replace a worn wet end on an existing 3 kW motor.

Where it works

At 101 m of head it lifts from deep farm boreholes into a reservoir for pivot or drip lines in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, and it suits rural community water supply. Add the depth to your water level, the height up to your tank and about 10% for pipe friction, then pick a pump whose head at your flow is above that total. Which 4SD10/15 option should I choose?

Choose by supply and by what you already own. Three-phase sets come with the Y1 protection controller, and the 525 V set comes with a variable speed drive. If you already have a 3 kW motor and only need to replace a worn wet end, take the pump end only. Tell us your supply and borehole yield and we will point you to the right one.

What size borehole does the 4SD10/15 fit?

The 4SD10/15 is a 4″ pump and fits boreholes with an internal diameter of 100 mm or more. Check your casing size before ordering, because bent or silted casing reduces the usable bore. Send us the borehole details if you are unsure and we will confirm it will pass down the hole.

What is not included with the 4SD10/15?

Submersible cable, rope, delivery pipe and base plate are not included with any option. We can quote the cable and rigging items with the pump if you tell us your borehole depth, so you can have everything delivered together and avoid a second trip to the supplier.

Is 101 m of head enough for my borehole?

Add your depth to water level, the height up to your tank and roughly 10% for friction. If the total sits below the pump head at the flow you need, it will work. Example points: 90 L/min at 86 m and 150 L/min at 74 m. Send your figures and we will check the match.
