Overview

The 10SP135/2A is a 10-inch stainless steel submersible borehole pump rated at 18.5 kW, delivering about 90 m3/h (90 000 litres per hour) at 38 m head and 47 m at shut-off. It suits large irrigation schemes, municipal supply and mine dewatering from high-yield boreholes where less head is needed than the 22 kW model offers. Buy a complete set or the pump end alone.

Where it works

It fits gravity-fed irrigation blocks in the Western Cape, a Limpopo village supply or a quarry dewatering job where the lift is modest but the volume is large. Total head is pumping water level plus height to the tank plus about 10% for friction, and the borehole must be able to supply the flow, so get the yield-test result from your driller. Why choose the 2A over the 10SP135/2?

The 2A gives 47 m shut-off head and uses an 18.5 kW motor in the 380 V set, so it suits jobs with a lower total head. If your duty needs more than about 38 m at 90 m3/h, choose the 22 kW 10SP135/2.

Is a starter included with the sets?

The sets are listed without a starter panel or VSD, so your electrician must supply one sized for the motor. The 525 V set needs a suitable starter or VSD. Ask us about options for your site.
