Overview

The PS18L is an electronic automatic flow controller for household booster pumps. It switches the pump on when you open a tap and off again when the flow stops, so you do not need a pressure tank or a pressure switch. It also protects the pump by cutting power if it runs without water. It handles up to 16 A on a 220 to 240 V single-phase supply and has a digital display. Kamano supplies it from Polokwane to all nine provinces.

Where it works

This controller suits a house, flat or small lodge booster where you want pressure on demand without a tank. It is also the replacement when the controller on a CPM190, CPM200 or 2CPM25/160 combo has failed. In Gauteng and the Western Cape it is popular for rainwater and municipal boost systems. Check that the pump draws no more than 16 A. If you want a tank-based system instead, look at the 60 L pressure tank; for tank filling, use a float level switch.
