Farms in the Free State and Limpopo set kits like this at the bulk tank so each tractor or bakkie fills quickly and every litre is metered. Depots in Gauteng and KZN use them to control internal fleet fuelling. Mine workshops and municipal yards add one to a diesel storage tank. Diesel and paraffin only; it is not for petrol.

How accurate is the flowmeter on this kit?

The FM150 is an oval-gear meter rated at plus or minus 0.5 percent across 30 to 110 L/min. The 60 L/min pump sits comfortably inside that range. For exact records, check the meter against a measured container when you first set up.

Does the nozzle shut off automatically?

Yes. The kit has a 19 mm automatic nozzle, which cuts off when the vehicle tank is full. That helps prevent spills and overfilling, particularly when several drivers fuel from the same point. Check the shutoff on each new vehicle.

Can I run it on a generator?

Yes. The pump motor is 370 W, so a generator of 1.5 kVA or more should start and run it. Use an earthed lead, keep the generator well away from the fuel, and let the generator reach full speed before you switch on.
