Gutter Buddy Leaf Catcher with Removable Lid, 19 x 19 x 24 cm

Description

Overview

The Gutter Buddy is a leaf catcher that keeps large leaves and debris out of your downpipe and rainwater tank. It is the first line of defence in a rainwater system, and a cheap one compared with a blocked gutter or a fouled tank.

Clogged gutters cause overflow, which can damage the gutters themselves and the fascia behind them. Fit the Gutter Buddy where the roof gutters meet the drain, and the angle of the attachment lets leaves and debris blow clear, so there is little need for cleaning. When it does need a look, the lid comes off. It works as part of a set-up with a first flush kit, which takes care of the fine dirt, and it is already supplied in the 2500 L tank and gutter kit combo. Where it works

Any roof with trees nearby needs one. Think of gum and jacaranda trees over a suburban roof in Gauteng, bushveld thornveld debris on a farmhouse in Limpopo, or pine needles on a Mpumalanga lodge. It also protects the pipes on a house without a tank, because blocked gutters cost far more to repair than the catcher costs to fit.
