CPM158 Booster Combo 0.75 kW, 220 V, with Flow Controller, 30 m Head

Description

Overview

This CPM158 booster kit is a household pressure booster built on a 0.75 kW centrifugal pump and supplied with an automatic flow controller, wiring and a moulded plug. It gives up to 30 m head and is best for boosting water from a tank to a home. Connect the pipes, plug it in, and the pump starts when a tap opens and stops when the flow stops.

The listed performance is 29.1 m at 10 L/min, 27.1 m at 30 L/min, 24.5 m at 50 L/min and 22.8 m at 60 L/min, falling to 16.2 m at 80 L/min. Every 10 m of head is about 1 bar, so a 30 m rating gives roughly 3 bar at low flow. Choose a pump whose head at your flow is comfortably above what you need. The body is cast iron with a brass impeller. For a bigger motor, look at the 1.1 kW CPM170 combo. For a version with tank-side hose, see the CPM158 kit with suction hose. The wider booster pump range lists every size.

Where it works

Typical installs are a family home in Pietermaritzburg with a rainwater tank, a guest lodge near Mbombela that needs good pressure in the showers, and a farm house in the Free State where municipal supply is weak. It stays under a vented cover away from rain, and it should see clean water only, with no sand or grit.
