Overview
This 0.75 kW booster pump system with VFD is a complete constant-pressure package: a horizontal multistage pump, a variable-frequency drive, a five-way connector with non-return valve, a pressure tank, a gauge and a pressure transmitter.
The transmitter watches demand and the drive adjusts motor speed to hold the pressure you set, anywhere from 1 to 9 bar. It protects against dry run, overload, unbalanced voltage and short circuits. Flow reaches up to 16 m³/h at lower heads and head reaches 60 m. More choices in water pumps and booster pumps.

Where it works
It suits houses, clinics and lodges in Gauteng and the Western Cape that want a neat, pre-assembled set with a pressure tank. Liquid temperature can run from 0 to 70 °C, and ambient from 0 to 40 °C. A simpler booster is 0.75 kW VSD booster pump, and a different constant-pressure unit is 1.5 kW constant-pressure VSD pump system.
Installation notes: site the unit under a ventilated cover that keeps off rain and spray, close to the tank and with room around it for air to circulate. Flow reaches up to 16 m³/h and head up to 60 m, so use pipework rated for the pressure you plan to set, and fit a strainer on the inlet if the source carries grit. Size the cable and breaker for the motor, and have a qualified electrician do the wiring.

Questions about this product
What is the pressure tank for?
It smooths pressure changes and reduces start-ups when demand is very small. Together with the VFD and transmitter, it helps hold the pressure you set. A tank precharge that is too high or too low will make the pump short-cycle, so set the precharge to suit your pressure.
Can I set the pressure myself?
Yes, output pressure is adjustable between 1 and 9 bar, and the digital display shows pump speed and pressure. Set it to suit your fittings and pipe class. Higher settings need pipework rated for it, so check the class of your pipes before you raise the setting.
Does it protect itself against dry running?
Yes. It protects against dry run, overload, unbalanced voltage and short circuits. You should still fix any supply problem quickly. Repeated dry-run stops usually point to an empty tank, an air leak or a blocked suction line, so check those before restarting the system.
