Overview

This 1.5 kW constant-pressure VSD pump system keeps the pressure level at every tap by adjusting motor speed, giving 108 L/min at up to 60 m head from a 220 V supply.

It arrives pre-wired with a 3-point plug and has a 3-second restart delay and timed auto-rotation to protect the motor and bearings. Compared with the 1.5 kW booster pump, it offers higher head and lower flow. See other models in water pumps and booster pumps.

Installation notes: site the unit under a ventilated cover that keeps off rain and spray, close to the tank and with room around it for air to circulate. Size the cable and breaker for the motor, and have a qualified electrician do the wiring.

How does constant pressure work?

A pressure transducer measures line pressure and the drive adjusts motor speed to hold it. If one tap opens or three do, the pressure stays level instead of swinging up and down. That steady pressure is easier on fittings, showers and appliances than the surges you get with a fixed-speed pump.

Will it work off an inverter?

Only if the inverter can supply the starting load of a 1.5 kW motor. Tell us your inverter size and we will advise. Inverter surge ratings matter more than the running figure, so quote the surge when you ask. Small inverters often struggle with motor starting loads.

Is the plug really fitted?

Yes, the system comes pre-wired with a 3-point plug. A qualified electrician should still verify the supply and protection on your site. Keep the plug indoors or in the pump shed so it stays dry. Check the socket rating too, since a 1.5 kW load is more than many light-duty plugs are rated to carry.
