Overview

This 0.55 kW monoblock pump kit is ready to wire up: the pump comes with an automatic flow-control switch and a lead-out cable, so it starts when the pressure drops and stops when the flow stops.

It is a single-stage centrifugal pump delivering up to 92 L/min (5.5 m³/h) and 26 m head, at 2850 rpm. Fill the tank and prime the pump before the first start. If you want just the pump with no switch, see the pump-only version in water pumps and booster pumps.

Where it works

It is a common choice for domestic supply from a rainwater tank, for garden sprinkler irrigation, vegetable tunnels and aquaculture supply and drainage. Installation notes: mount the pump on a firm, level base close to the water source and keep the suction line short, airtight and rising gently towards the pump so air cannot collect. Fit a foot valve wherever the pump lifts water, and fill the pump body before the first start. Rated flow is 92 L/min (5.5 m³/h), so choose pipe sizes that do not choke it and keep the run as straight as you can. Size the cable and breaker for the motor, and let a qualified electrician make the connection.

What comes in the kit?

The 0.55 kW monoblock pump, an automatic flow-control switch and a lead-out cable. You supply the pipework, fittings and foot valve. The switch starts the pump when pressure drops and stops it when the water stops flowing. Fit the foot valve and a short, airtight suction line, and the kit is ready to be wired and primed.

Do I need to prime it?

Yes. Fill the pump body with water before the first start, and make sure the tank is full. Without a foot valve the pump cannot lift water from below reliably, so fit one if the water source is under the pump.

Can it pump from a dam?

It is a clean-water pump with up to 6 m of suction lift using a foot valve. A dam with mud or weed will block it, so use a strainer. For heavy duty take a trash pump. Keep the foot valve a hand's width off the bottom of the dam, with a strainer around it, so mud and weed stay out.
