Overview
This CPM170 booster kit is a ready-to-use household pressure booster built on a 1.1 kW centrifugal pump and supplied with an automatic flow controller, wiring and a moulded plug. It is best for boosting water from a tank to a home, with up to 35 m head listed for the combo. You connect the pipes, plug it in, and it starts when a tap opens and stops when the flow stops.
Listed performance runs 34.1 m at 10 L/min, 32.6 m at 30 L/min, 31 m at 50 L/min, 30.2 m at 60 L/min and 27.3 m at 80 L/min. At 100 L/min the head is 20.8 m, and at 120 L/min it falls to 6 m. That flat curve through the mid range is useful when two or three taps are open. Every 10 m is roughly 1 bar. Choose a pump whose head at your flow is comfortably above what you need, and count taps and showers that run together. The 1.1 kW motor drives a cast iron body with a brass impeller. Where it works
Use it for a large house in Rustenburg with a storage tank, a guest lodge near Mbombela, or a farm homestead in the Free State where several taps run in the morning. Keep it under a vented cover and give it clean water only.
