Overview
This kit is a CPM146 booster pump combo bundled with a 25 mm suction hose kit, so you can draw water straight from a tank and push it into the house at up to 25 m head. The 0.55 kW pump comes pre-assembled with an automatic flow controller, wiring and a moulded plug. Connect the hose to the tank, run the pipe to the house, plug in, and the pump starts when a tap opens and stops when the flow stops.
The pump is a single-stage end-suction centrifugal unit with a cast iron body and a brass impeller. At 20 L/min it gives about 24 m head, and at 60 L/min about 16 m, so it suits a single-storey home with a few taps running together. A rough rule is 10 m of head per 1 bar. If the tank sits well above the pump you will gain pressure on top of that. For pressure only, take the CPM146 combo without hose, or step up in head with the CPM158 combo and hose kit. Where it works
This kit fits homes in Pretoria and Mbombela that store rainwater or municipal water in a tank and have weak pressure at the taps. It also works for a farm homestead near Tzaneen where a ground tank feeds a kitchen and bathroom. Keep the pump under a vented cover, away from rain, and use it for clean water only.

What is in the suction hose kit?
It is a 25 mm suction hose kit meant to draw water from a tank into the pump. Ask us for the exact fittings and hose length before you order if your tank sits far from the pump, so you can plan the layout properly.
How much pressure will I get at the taps?
Maximum head is 25 m, about 2.5 bar, falling to roughly 21 m at 40 L/min and 16 m at 60 L/min. That suits a single-storey house with a few taps open. Tell us your tank position and number of bathrooms and we will check the size.
Can I get this to Mahikeng?
