Overview

The CPM146 booster pump combo is a ready-wired 0.55 kW household pressure booster that pushes tank water to your taps, showers and geyser at up to 26 m head and 100 L/min. It arrives pre-assembled with an automatic flow controller, wiring and a moulded plug, so you connect the pipes, plug it in and it runs by itself.

Inside is a single-stage end-suction centrifugal pump with a cast iron body, a brass impeller and a stainless steel 304 motor shaft. When a tap opens the controller starts the pump, and when the flow stops the pump stops. Every 10 m of head gives about 1 bar, so this unit suits single-storey homes and garden taps. Where it works

Use it to lift water from a JoJo-style ground tank to a house in Polokwane, to feed a bathroom on the far side of a Gauteng stand, or to run a small drip line on a Limpopo smallholding. It handles clean water only, with no abrasive particles, and it must sit under a vented cover away from rain and spray.
