Overview

This CPM190 booster combo is a 1.5 kW household pressure booster supplied with a PS18L electronic flow controller that has a digital display. It gives up to 40 m head and 120 L/min, and it arrives pre-assembled with wiring and a moulded plug. You connect the pipes, plug it in, and it starts when a tap opens and stops when the flow stops, with the display showing what the controller is doing.

Listed performance runs 39 m at 10 L/min, 37.1 m at 30 L/min, 35 m at 50 L/min, 31.3 m at 80 L/min, 27.2 m at 100 L/min and 22.2 m at 120 L/min. Roughly 10 m of head gives 1 bar, so a 40 m rating suits large houses and lodges. The pump is a single-stage end-suction design with a cast iron body and brass impeller. Where it works

Use it on large homes in Johannesburg and Pretoria, on guest farms in the Western Cape winelands with several bathrooms, and in lodges that need strong shower pressure. The pump must sit under a vented cover, protected from rain and water spray, and it must only see clean water.
