Description
Overview
This pump cover is a moulded plastic housing that goes over your water pump to protect it from sun, rain and temperature swings, and to take the edge off the noise. It fits peripheral, centrifugal, jet and VSD drive pumps, and you set it on a level base over the pump and its pipe connections.
A pump left in the open takes UV, water and dust on the motor, and the cover helps extend its working life. It works with the units in our water pumps range, including the 0.75 kW smart VSD booster pump and the self-priming VSD multistage pump.

Where it works
It fits wherever a pump sits outdoors: beside a JoJo tank on a Limpopo farm, on the wall of a Gauteng townhouse, on a rainwater setup in KZN or near a borehole header tank in the Free State. In hot inland summers and frosty Highveld winters, a cover keeps the motor out of direct sun and frost. Will the cover fit my pump?
The cover measures about 540 × 540 × 500 mm and suits peripheral, centrifugal, jet and VSD pumps. Measure your pump and the pipe connections, including the inlet and outlet. If it is a large monoblock or a pump with an attached pressure vessel, send us the model and we will confirm.

Does a pump cover stop the motor overheating?
A cover is not a sealed box, so leave space and airflow around the pump, and do not stuff things inside it. It keeps direct sun and rain off the motor, which usually helps with heat. If your pump is in a hot, closed area, add ventilation.
Is it for borehole pumps?
It is for pumps that sit above ground, such as booster, jet and surface pumps. It does not suit submersible borehole pumps that live down the hole. You can use it over the surface pump or controller at the wellhead, as long as it fits.
