This 0.55 kW peripheral water pump only delivers 50 L/min (3 m³/h) at up to 48 m head and weighs 8.1 kg net, enough to boost a small house or run a garden sprinkler line.

Where it works

Installation notes: mount the pump on rubber feet near the water source, with a short airtight suction line and a foot valve and strainer if it lifts water. This model gives 50 L/min (3 m³/h) at 48 m of head, with a maximum working pressure of 8 bar, so do not leave it running against a closed outlet. Run the pump at least once a week, keep sand out of the water, and let a qualified electrician make the electrical connection.

Questions about this product

Does it work for borehole tanks?

It can move water from a tank to a house or garden. It is not a borehole pump. If your water source is deep underground, a submersible pump is the right tool. Many customers pair it with a rainwater or header tank, which is where this size is happiest.

Can I add my own pressure switch?

Yes, that is what the pump-only version is for. Fit the switch on the outlet side and use a pressure tank if you want fewer start-ups. A switch set to start at about 1.5 bar suits most household pipework. Check the pipe class before setting higher.

Is it noisy?

Peripheral pumps are moderately quiet, but a hard mounting on a metal frame can amplify noise. Mount it on rubber feet. Flexible hose on both ports also reduces vibration and makes the pump easier to service later.
