1 Inch BSP Brass Non-Return Valve

Description

Overview

This brass non-return valve has 1 inch BSP connections and lets water flow one way only, so it cannot run back through the pump when the pump stops. The body is brass and the cracking pressure is 0.5 psi, which means it opens with very little pressure behind it. It is a small and cheap part, but it protects pumps, keeps lines primed and stops tanks draining back. Kamano supplies it from Polokwane to all nine provinces.

Where it works

Fit one on the outlet of a booster pump, a borehole delivery line or a transfer pump to keep the line full and stop water draining back down the pipe. It is a standard part on household booster sets, farm pump houses in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, and small irrigation lines in the Western Cape. Install it in the direction of flow marked on the body, and use thread tape suited to brass fittings.
