Overview

This 1.1 kW cast iron jet pump is a self-priming water pump built for pressure, with up to 70 m of head and a flow of up to 50 L/min (3 m3/h). It draws water from up to 6 m below the pump, depending on altitude. The body is cast iron, the impeller is brass, and the venturi and recirculation chamber are PPO (polyphenylene oxide). The shaft is stainless steel 304 and the mechanical seal is NBR, graphite and ceramic.

Where it works

Use it to lift water from a shallow well or a surface or submerged storage tank, for domestic supply, garden irrigation and longer pipe runs where pressure matters. On KZN homesteads, Limpopo smallholdings and Western Cape plots it feeds taps and sprinklers uphill from a tank. It is for clean water only. Sizing tip

Add the height you must lift to the friction in the pipe run, and pick a pump whose head at your required flow is above that total. If you are unsure, send us the layout and we will check it with you.
