Overview

This 0.75 kW cast iron jet pump is a self-priming water pump for shallow wells and storage tanks, delivering up to 50 L/min (3 m3/h) at a head of up to 56 m. It draws water from up to 6 m below the pump, depending on altitude. The body is cast iron, the impeller is brass, and the venturi and recirculation chamber are PPO (polyphenylene oxide). The shaft is stainless steel 304 and the mechanical seal is NBR, graphite and ceramic.

Where it works

Use it to lift water from a shallow well or a surface or submerged storage tank, for domestic supply and garden irrigation. On Limpopo smallholdings, Free State farmsteads and KZN homesteads, a jet pump like this fills header tanks and feeds a few taps. It is for clean water only.
