Overview

The 2CPM25 is a 2.2 kW, 230 V end-suction booster pump supplied with a controller, built to raise water pressure from a tank, municipal supply or storage dam. It reaches 55 m of head, 150 litres a minute and 8 bar maximum operating pressure.

The supplier recommends it for clean water without abrasive particles, and for liquids that are not chemically aggressive to the pump materials. It gives high head in a compact housing with low noise, and overload protection guards the motor. Install it under a vented cover, out of rain and spray. Where it works

Use it to lift pressure from a tank to a house on a Limpopo farm, feed overhead sprinklers on a Western Cape vineyard, boost mains pressure in Gauteng flats and offices, or increase pressure for fire-fighting sets. It must stay dry, so mount it in a pump room or under a vented cover. A petrol clear water pump fills the supply tank when power is off during load-shedding.

Can I use it to boost mains water pressure?

Yes, boosting pressure from a tank or supply line is what the 2CPM25 is recommended for, including pressure boosting for fire-fighting sets. Make sure the supply can feed up to 150 L/min and that your pipework is rated for 8 bar. Ask us if you need help sizing the installation.

Can it stand outside in the rain?

No. The supplier states it must be installed under a vented cover and protected from rain and water spray. Put it in a pump room, a ventilated shed or a purpose-built cover. Keeping it dry and well ventilated also helps the motor stay cool.

What liquids can it pump?

Clean water without abrasive particles, and liquids that are not chemically aggressive to the pump materials. It is not for sand-laden bore water, slurry or chemicals. Fit a filter on the suction side if your water carries grit.
