Overview

The QB-60 is a 0.37 kW peripheral vane pump that gives high pressure from a small motor: up to 38 m of head at shut-off and a maximum flow of 25 L/min (1,500 L/h). It is made for clean water and suits domestic use, especially where pressure matters more than volume.

The cast iron body carries brass inserts at the front and back of the volute to limit mineral build-up. The impeller is brass with radial peripheral vanes, the shaft is stainless steel 304 and the seal is ceramic-graphite. The motor is a single-phase 220 V, 50 Hz unit with capacitor and thermal overload protector.

Where it works

Use it to lift pressure from a header tank to one or two taps in a small home, a cottage or a farm worker house in Limpopo or Mpumalanga. It handles clean, non-aggressive water up to 40 °C with no abrasive particles, so it is not a dirty-water or borehole-sand pump. Install it under a vented cover, protected from rain and spray.
