Overview

The QB-70 is a 0.55 kW peripheral vane pump that delivers up to 48 m of head and a maximum flow of 35 L/min (2,100 L/h) on clean water. It sits between the QB-60 and QB-80, with enough pressure for a double-storey house but a modest power draw.

The body is cast iron with brass inserts in the volute to limit mineral build-up. The impeller is brass with radial peripheral vanes, the shaft is stainless steel 304 and the seal is ceramic-graphite. The motor is single-phase 220 V, 50 Hz with capacitor and thermal overload protector, rated IP44.

Where it works

It runs on clean, non-aggressive water up to 40 °C without abrasive particles, so it is not for muddy dam water. Install it under a vented cover, protected from rain and spray. Is the QB-70 enough for a double-storey house?

Yes for normal use. It gives 48 m of head with no flow and still 35 m at 15 L/min, which covers a bathroom and kitchen tap together on two floors. For three or more taps open at once, the QB-80 holds pressure better.

What is the difference between QB-60, QB-70 and QB-80?

They share the same design. The QB-60 gives 38 m and 25 L/min on 0.37 kW, the QB-70 gives 48 m and 35 L/min on 0.55 kW, and the QB-80 gives 60 m and 50 L/min on 0.75 kW. Pick by the head you need at your flow.
