Description

Overview

The polypropylene camlock Type B has a female camlock coupler with locking arms on one end and a male BSP thread on the other. The thread screws into a female-threaded fitting, and the coupler locks onto any male camlock adaptor of the same size for a fast, leak-resistant joint.

Polypropylene resists corrosion, chemicals and weathering, and it is light and economical, so it suits agricultural, industrial, water and chemical handling duty. The straight-through design keeps the pipe diameter, so flow is not restricted. Browse the full pipe fittings range for the other camlock types.

Questions about this product

Where does the male BSP thread of a Type B go?

Into a female-threaded fitting of the same nominal size, such as a socket on a tank outlet or valve. The female coupler end then locks onto any male camlock adaptor of the same size. Use PTFE tape on the thread and do not over-tighten the plastic.

What do the locking arms do?

The locking arms clamp the coupler onto a male adaptor to form a leak-resistant joint. Push the coupler over the adaptor, close both arms flat and the joint is locked. Lift the arms to release it. No tools are needed, which makes hose changes quick.

Which sizes and prices are available?

The Type B comes in 15, 20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 mm. Prices run from R 43 for the 20 mm size to R 96 for the 50 mm size, VAT incl., so pick your size from the options on this page. Each size has its own product code, which makes re-ordering easy.

Do you deliver to Richards Bay?

Yes. We deliver with our own trucks from Polokwane to Richards Bay and the rest of South Africa in 1 to 3 days. A single fitting weighs well under 1 kg, so it falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550, and orders of R20,000 or more ship free. Add other fittings to the same order to share the delivery fee.
