Description

Overview

The polypropylene camlock Type D has a female camlock coupler with locking arms on one end and a female BSP thread on the other. The thread screws onto a male-threaded pipe or nipple, and the coupler locks onto any male camlock adaptor of the same size.

Polypropylene resists corrosion, chemicals and weathering, and it is light and economical, so it suits agricultural, industrial, water and chemical handling duty. The straight-through design keeps the pipe diameter, so flow is not restricted. Browse the full pipe fittings range for the other camlock types.

Questions about this product

When do I need a Type D instead of a Type B?

Choose the Type D when the part you are fitting to has a male thread, and the Type B when it has a female thread. Both give you a female camlock coupler on the free end, so the only difference is the thread gender at the other end.

Which thread standard does it use?

It has a BSP (British Standard Pipe) female thread, matching the BSP male threads used on most South African valves, taps and pump ports. Make sure the nominal size matches, and seal the male thread with PTFE tape before you screw the fitting on.

Which sizes and prices are available?

The Type D comes in 15, 20, 25, 32, 40 and 50 mm. Prices run from R 45 for the 15 mm size to R 99 for the 50 mm size, VAT incl., so pick your size from the options on this page. Each size has its own product code, which makes re-ordering easy.

Do you deliver to East London?

Yes. We deliver with our own trucks from Polokwane to East London and the rest of South Africa in 1 to 3 days. A single fitting weighs well under 1 kg, so it falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550, and orders of R20,000 or more ship free. Add other fittings to the same order to share the delivery fee.
