Description

Overview

The aluminium camlock Type A pairs a male grooved adaptor with a female BSP thread of the same size. It screws onto a male-threaded pipe, valve or pump outlet and gives that point a quick-release camlock connection. The male grooved end locks into any female camlock fitting of the same size.

The aluminium body is light to carry yet hard-wearing for repeated connecting and disconnecting on pump and delivery lines. Ask us about seal material before using it with chemicals. Browse the full pipe fittings range for the other camlock types.

Questions about this product

What does a Type A camlock connect to?

Screw the female BSP end onto a male-threaded pipe, valve or pump outlet of the same size. The male grooved end then locks into any female camlock coupler of the same size, such as a Type B, C or D. Match the size on both sides before ordering.

Is the BSP thread on a Type A male or female?

It is female, so it fits onto a male-threaded fitting of the same nominal size. If your pipe end is female-threaded instead, you need a male adaptor with a male BSP thread. We list one in polypropylene, so ask us if you need it in another size.

Which sizes and prices are available?

The Type A comes in 50, 65 and 75 mm. Prices run from R 54 for the 50 mm size to R 103 for the 75 mm size, VAT incl., so pick your size from the options on this page. Each size has its own product code, which makes re-ordering easy.

Do you deliver to Rustenburg?

Yes. We deliver with our own trucks from Polokwane to Rustenburg and the rest of South Africa in 1 to 3 days. A single fitting weighs well under 1 kg, so it falls in the up to 30 kg band at R550, and orders of R20,000 or more ship free. Add other fittings to the same order to share the delivery fee.
