Where it works

A cracked or missing basket lets leaves, insects and small debris go straight into the plumbing. It is a cheap fix for home pool owners in Gauteng, the Western Cape and KZN, and pool service companies that carry spares in the bakkie. Lodges and guest houses with leaf-heavy gardens use them too.

Pair it with a pump that suits the pool, such as the 0.75 kW Aqua Max pool pump, and keep a spare on the shelf. If you need solar filtration, check the TSP500 solar pool pump. Confirm the dimensions against your skimmer before you order.
