Description

Overview

The 0.75 kW Superflo 2 is a self-priming pool pump for residential pools of up to 60,000 litres, built for year-round circulation. It uses a redesigned impeller and diffuser, so it moves more water with less noise than older pumps of the same size, and its quick-closing clamp lid lets you reach the basket in seconds.

Match it with a 3-bag sand filter for good filtration. Browse the wider pool pump range if you are sizing a new system.

Key features

0.75 kW high-efficiency motor
New impeller and diffuser to reduce water noise
Special motor shaft that cuts vibration and extends motor life
Self-resetting thermal overload against overheating
Built-in barrel unions for inlet and outlet
Electrical separation between motor and wet end
Composite and stainless-steel construction that resists corrosion
Quick-closing lid clamp for fast maintenance

Where it works

It is a good fit for a larger family pool in Pretoria or Rustenburg, or a lodge pool in Limpopo where it runs through the long summer. Install it above or below ground on a level surface, clear of anywhere that floods.

For smaller pools see the 0.55 kW Swimflo 2, and for large pools the 1.1 kW Superflo 2. A qualified electrician should do the wiring.

Questions about this product

How big a pool can a 0.75 kW pump handle?

It is rated for residential pools up to 60,000 litres and is best matched with a 3-bag sand filter. A pump that is too big for the filter pushes water through the sand too fast and hurts filtration.

What does the thermal overload do?

It cuts power if the motor overheats, for example if the basket blocks, and resets itself once the motor cools. Clear the cause before restarting. It protects the motor but is no substitute for a correct breaker in your distribution board.

Do you deliver to Cape Town?

Yes, our own trucks cover all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days from Polokwane. At about 12 kg this pump sits in the up to 30 kg band at R550, and orders from R20,000 are delivered free.

Are the unions included?

Yes. Barrel unions are built into the pump, so the inlet and outlet connect to your pipework without extra fittings in most standard setups.
