1.5 kW Variable Speed Pool Pump, Self-Priming, 3 Speeds, 230 V

Description

Overview

The Speck BADU Eco VSD Pro 23 is a self-priming 1.5 kW pool pump with a variable speed drive built in, made for large pools of about 80,000 to 190,000 litres running a 4- to 7-bag sand filter. It filters at a lower speed for most of the day and speeds up only for vacuuming or backwashing.

On a big pool the pump is the largest electricity user on the equipment pad, so a variable speed pool pump 1.5kW is where the saving is biggest. Lower speed means lower power use.

Key features

• Three preset speeds: 2830, 2430 and 2000 rpm (high, medium, low), each adjustable up or down
• Automatic and manual modes
• Primes at full speed for the first 5 minutes after start-up, which can be switched off
• Self-priming, handles water up to 60 degrees Celsius
• 1.5 kW output (1.76 kW input at the default setting)
• 63 mm inlet and 63 mm outlet

Where it works

Think lodge and hotel pools in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, estate and complex pools in Gauteng, and big private pools along the KwaZulu-Natal coast. Run the low speed for the daily cycle and ramp up for cleaning. It pairs with the 5-bag Superflo Q200 sand filter. A smaller variable speed option is the 0.75 kW Eco VSD Pro 20, and the full list is in our pool and pond pumps category. Send us your pool volume and filter size and we will confirm the match.
