Overview

The WCB-75 is a 220V self-priming gear pump that moves 75 L/min of diesel, lubricating oil or hydraulic oil. It is the smaller sibling of the WCB-100, with a 750 W motor and a lighter frame that is easier to carry between tanks. Cast iron gears and a built-in relief valve keep it going through daily use.

Can this pump run off a small generator?

Yes, it draws about 750 W, so a modest generator or inverter can run it, provided it has spare capacity for the start-up surge. That makes it handy during load-shedding. Check the generator rating with an electrician if your supply is marginal.

Is it suitable for engine oil?

Yes. Gear pumps handle lubricating and hydraulic oils up to about 80 degrees C well, as well as diesel. Very thick oils slow the flow, so expect less than 75 L/min in cold weather. It is not suitable for petrol.
