Overview

The GJSm800 is a 0.8 kW stainless steel self-priming jet pump supplied pre-assembled with an automatic flow controller, wiring and a 3-point moulded plug. It reaches a maximum head of 42 m and flows up to about 60 L/min. Plug it in, connect the pipes and it starts when a tap opens and stops when the flow stops. It sits in the middle of the stainless range, between the 0.6 kW GJSm600 and the 1.1 kW GJSm1100, which makes it a sensible pick for a family home.

The curve runs from 42 m at shut-off to 37 m at 8 L/min, 32 m at 16 L/min, 23 m at 32 L/min, 13.5 m at 48 L/min and 6 m at 60 L/min. Stainless steel keeps the water clean and resists rust, and self-priming means it can draw from a tank or shallow well below the pump.

Where it works

Use it for tank-to-tap pressure in a two-bathroom house, garden irrigation on a Mpumalanga smallholding, or a wash-down point on a farm. Count the taps and showers that run together and remember that each 10 m of head is about 1 bar. Pick a pump whose head at that flow is comfortably above your needs.
