Description

Overview

This purification combo gives you a 10 000 L tank, a 0.75 kW RUC-750 variable-speed booster pump, a 55 W submersible UV-C light and a triple 20-inch filter set in one order. It is the water store, the treatment plant and the pressure system together.

The RUC-750 holds constant pressure with a built-in transducer, so a second tap opening will not make the shower go cold. It reaches 55 m of head and 5.5 m3/h, connects to the Smart Life app over Wi-Fi, and is solar compatible. Next to it, the 10 000 L combo with RUC-1100 pump gives more flow, and our tank and pump combo kits cover the rest.

This combo comes in three tank colours: green, grey and tan. Everything else in the package is identical, and the price is the same for each colour: R 23,492 (VAT incl.) for green, R 23,492 for grey and R 23,492 for tan. Colour is the only choice; the VSD pump, UV light and filters are the same in all three.

Where it works

With a solar-compatible pump this combo suits farms and lodges that run partly off panels. Use it for rainwater harvesting at a Western Cape homestead, a drinking-water store on a KZN smallholding, or as the main supply for staff accommodation near a Limpopo mine. Without UV and filters, the 10 000 L tank with 0.75 kW peripheral pump costs less.

Questions about this product

Can I control the RUC-750 from my phone?

Yes. It connects over Wi-Fi to the Smart Life app, where you can monitor and control it. You need Wi-Fi coverage near the pump. If the signal is weak at the tank, a cheap range extender usually solves it. The pump still works on its own settings if the Wi-Fi drops out.

Does the pump work with solar power?

It is listed as solar compatible. Make sure your inverter and panel array can handle the motor's start-up surge. If you tell us your system size, we can say whether the pump is a sensible fit. Running it from the grid on a changeover switch is the safest way to start.

Do you deliver to Durban and Pietermaritzburg?

Yes, we deliver with our own trucks from Polokwane in 1 to 3 days. This combo ships at about 212 kg, so it is over 100 kg and delivery is on quotation. Send us the delivery address for a price.

Will the UV light work on its own?

It works best with filtration ahead of it, which is why the filter set is included. Cloudy or dirty water blocks UV light. Change filters as needed, and the light needs enough contact time, so heavy daily draw-down can call for more UV capacity.
