Overview

This 0.37 kW (0.5 HP) 525V three-phase motor is the version for mines and large installations that run a 525V supply. Many pump motors are built for 380V, so a 525V pump motor is a special order item. The DL pump ends are sold without a motor, so you need one like this to complete a new pump or to replace a burnt-out motor. It is a 2-pole motor at about 2900 rpm, frame 71, with a B14 small face flange.

525V is used on mines and some large installations. This motor needs a three-phase 525V supply and a motor starter with overload protection, or a variable speed drive rated for that voltage. Match it to your pump model and supply before you order. If you are unsure, send us the pump model and a photo of your DB board and we will confirm the right motor.

Why would I need a 525V motor?

Some mines and large installations run a 525V three-phase supply instead of 380V. A motor wound for 380V should not be connected to 525V. If your site reticulation is 525V, use this version, and check with your electrician or the mine engineer before ordering.

Is a starter or VSD included?

No. This is a bare motor. It needs a three-phase 525V supply with a motor starter and overload protection, or a variable speed drive rated for 525V. Send us your pump model and application and we will help you with the match.
