Overview

This diesel dirt trap filter is an inline fuel filter with a cast-aluminium head, a plastic sediment bowl and 1 inch BSP inlet and outlet. It is a CF1000 pattern unit designed for low-pressure lines and handles about 40 L/min. Heavy dirt drops into the bowl and the element catches the rest before fuel reaches your pump or nozzle.

Many people know this size as the 25 mm filter, because 1 inch BSP fittings suit 25 mm hose. It works best on the suction side or on gravity lines, where pressure is low. Unscrew the bowl now and then to tip out the sediment, and you will be surprised how much grit it stops from reaching the pump.

Where it works
