Description
Overview
This electric maxi brick mould is a steel mould for maxi-size cement bricks with a 220 V vibrator fitted. Fill it, run the vibrator to settle the mix, and lift the mould off to leave the bricks on the slab.
Maxi bricks are taller than stock bricks, so a wall goes up with fewer units and fewer mortar beds. The vibrator makes the difference in quality: it shakes out air pockets, so bricks are denser and corners stay sharp. For stock bricks with the same setup, see the electric 6-drop stock brick mould.
Key features
- Steel mould sized for maxi bricks
- 220 V electric vibrator mounted on the mould
- Lift-off design with no moving parts besides the motor
- Two people can carry it along the slab
- Good first step up from hand moulds
Where it works
The electric maxi brick mould suits small brickyards selling to local builders, owner-builders in rural Limpopo and the Eastern Cape making their own house bricks, and farms building boundary walls and sheds. It needs only a slab, a mixer and power. If the same customers also ask for pavers, the manual 4-drop paving brick machine is a low-cost add-on. See all our brick making machines.
For the best bricks, run the vibrator only until the top of the mix turns glossy, usually a few seconds. Vibrating too long draws water to the surface and weakens the face. Keep the cable off wet ground, check the motor bolts every week, and wash the mould before mix hardens in the corners.

Questions about this product
What is the difference between a maxi brick and a stock brick?
A maxi brick has the same length and width as a stock brick but is taller, so each course rises faster and you use fewer bricks and less mortar per square metre. Builders like them for house walls and boundary walls where speed counts. Many buyers keep one mould of each size.
Can I run the vibrator from a generator?
Yes. It is a 220 V motor, so a correctly sized generator runs it on sites without grid power or during load-shedding. Ask us for the motor rating and pick a generator with some spare capacity so the vibrator starts easily.
How much is delivery to Lephalale?
