Description
Overview
This electric stock brick mould is a steel six-cavity mould with a 220 V vibrator bolted to it. You fill it with a cement and sand mix, switch on the vibrator to settle the mix, then lift the mould and leave six green stock bricks standing on the slab.
Vibration is the big step up from a hand mould. The mix compacts evenly into the corners, so edges come out sharp and the bricks hold their shape while they cure. If you would rather build bigger units per drop, the electric maxi brick mould uses the same idea for maxi bricks.

Where it works
The electric stock brick mould suits backyard brickmakers in Limpopo villages, RDP and extension builders in Gauteng, and farm teams putting up staff housing and store rooms. Set it on a flat concrete slab, keep a mixer close and you can stock a site without waiting for a supplier. For the best bricks, run the vibrator only until the top of the mix turns glossy, usually a few seconds. Vibrating too long draws water to the surface and weakens the face. Keep the cable off wet ground, check the motor bolts every week, and wash the mould before mix hardens in the corners.

Questions about this product
Can I run this brick mould on a generator?
Yes. The vibrator is a 220 V motor, so a small petrol or diesel generator will run it during load-shedding or on a site without Eskom power. Ask us for the motor rating before you choose a generator, and size the generator with some headroom so the vibrator starts cleanly every time.
How many bricks can two people make in a day?
It depends on how fast you mix and carry, not on the mould. Every drop gives six stock bricks. With a mixer next to the slab and a practised team, a few hundred bricks a day is realistic. Hand mixing slows things down a lot, so most yards add a concrete mixer early.
Do you deliver this to Thohoyandou?
