Description

Overview

The DL20 replacement hydraulic stack is the complete cartridge of impellers, stage chambers (diffusers) and shaft that builds pressure inside a DL20 vertical multistage pump. Fit one when sand, grit or dry running has worn the impellers and your pump has lost pressure and flow. The motor, base and outer sleeve are re-used, so a new stack costs far less than a new pump.

Choose by the model on your pump nameplate, for example DL20-70. The number after the dash gives the stages (-40 means 4 stages), and the stack must match exactly, or it will not fit the sleeve or give the right pressure. Not sure? Send us a photo of the nameplate and we will confirm the part.

The mechanical seal is sold separately (code 95020103, fits DL8, DL12, DL16 and DL20 pumps). We recommend replacing it at the same time. See all our multistage pumps for complete pumps.

The heaviest option, the DL20-170 stack, ships at about 34 kg, in the R950 delivery band. Delivery is charged by total order weight: up to 30 kg R550, 30 to 60 kg R950, 60 to 100 kg R1,450, over 100 kg on quotation. Orders of R20,000 or more are delivered free (VAT incl.). How do I know which DL20 stack I need?

Read the model on your pump nameplate, for example DL20-70. The number after the dash gives the stage count, and the stack must match it exactly or it will not fit the sleeve. Pick the same model in the options list. If the plate is unclear, send us a photo and we will confirm the stack code before you order.

Should I replace the mechanical seal at the same time?

Yes, we recommend it. The seal is sold separately under code 95020103 and fits DL8, DL12, DL16 and DL20 pumps. Fitting a new seal while the pump is already apart costs little extra and avoids opening it up again soon after. Ask us to add the seal to your order.

Can I fit a new stack and keep my motor?

Yes. The stack is the pressure-building heart of the pump, and the motor, base and outer sleeve are re-used. Fitting a new stack brings a worn DL20 back to its original performance for much less than a new pump. Make sure the stage count matches your nameplate model.

Do you deliver a DL20 stack to Pietermaritzburg?
