Overview

This 2.2 kW CPM80 booster pump combo has a pressure switch fitted, so it runs automatically: it starts when you open a tap and stops when demand ends. It delivers up to 400 L/min (24 m³/h) with a maximum head of 30 m, enough for a large house, a lodge or an irrigation block. If you prefer to add your own controls, the bare CPM80 pump costs less.

The body is cast iron with a brass impeller, a 304 stainless steel shaft and a ceramic-graphite mechanical seal. The motor is single-phase 230 V, 50 Hz with a capacitor and thermal overload protector, Class B insulation and IP44 protection.

Where it works

Typical jobs are boosting pressure from a rainwater tank to a double-storey home, feeding several bathrooms at once in a Gauteng guest house, or running sprinklers off a farm storage tank. Count how many taps and showers run at the same time, then pick a pump whose head at that flow is comfortably above your lift plus pipe friction. Each 10 m of head is about 1 bar. Not sure?
