Overview

Baffle balls are loose hollow polyethylene balls that you put inside a transport tank to slow the movement of the liquid when you brake, accelerate or corner. They are sold per ball or as a ready-counted pack matched to the size of your tank, and Kamano delivers them across South Africa.

In a part-filled tank, water or diesel can surge from end to end and shove the vehicle around. The balls fill the free surface of the liquid, break up the surge, reduce turbulence and prevent splashing, so the flow stays steadier. They are moulded from high grade LLDPE plastic, the same material family as the tanks themselves.

Pack for a 6000 L tank, 110 balls: R 15,180. Pack for an 8000 L tank, 225 balls: R 31,050. These counts follow the quantity guide for each tank size. If your tank is a different size, ask us how many balls you need.

Where it works

Water carters in Limpopo and Gauteng fit them in 5000 L tanks on truck decks. Farmers moving diesel or water to lands in the Free State and the North West use them in bakkie tanks. Mines and contractors in Mpumalanga and the Northern Cape use them for dust-suppression bowsers. Always secure the tank to the vehicle as well.

Kamano delivers with its own trucks from Polokwane to all nine provinces in 1 to 3 days, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, Polokwane, Rustenburg, Kimberley and Upington.
