Description

Overview

The 1000 L horizontal transport tank is a low, ribbed polyethylene tank that carries or stores water on a bakkie or trailer deck, or sits on the ground as a stationary tank. It stands only 900 mm high, so the load stays low and stable on the road, and Kamano delivers it anywhere in South Africa.

The tank is rotationally moulded from virgin LLDPE, UV resistant and BPA free. A black inner liner stops algae, and moulded ribs add strength where a horizontal tank needs it most. At 40 kg it is easy to position. Choose this size when 1000 L covers a day of water carting but a tall vertical tank will not fit your loading space.

Where it works

Farmers in Limpopo and Mpumalanga haul water to stock camps and spray rigs on a bakkie. Gardeners and landscapers in Gauteng and the Western Cape carry irrigation water to sites without a tap. Contractors use it for mixing and wash-down water. Strap the tank down once it is full and use it above ground only. Installation is not included.

Will a 1000 L tank fit on my bakkie?

The tank is 1700 mm long, 1050 mm wide and 900 mm high, so it suits a standard single-cab or double-cab load bin only if the bin is wide enough. Measure between the wheel arches, and strap it down. Full, it carries about one tonne of water.

Can I use it for drinking water?

It is moulded from food grade LLDPE virgin plastic with a black liner, and it is listed for water storage and transport. Flush it before first use, and keep the lid on to protect the water.

How much is delivery to George or Cape Town?

At about 40 kg the tank is in the 30 to 60 kg band, so delivery is R950 and takes 1 to 3 days from Polokwane. Orders of R20,000 or more, VAT incl., ship free.
